Rogaining
Note
To use this functionality, you must first activate it.
MeOS supports Rogaining (collecting points by visiting controls) in two ways:
To use this functionality, you must first activate it.
- Time Limit, meaning you have a maximal time to visit as many controls as possible. Overtime implies point reduction. Winner is the person with the highest score. Point reduction for each started minute that the whole point reduction is given for each started minute overtime.
- Point limit, which means that in order to pass, you need to score at least a certain number of points. Winner is the person with the shortest time.
You can mix normal orienteering and sections with rogaining in the same course (presumably using a point limit). For example, in the middle of the course, there is a cluster of rogaining controls, and a certain number of points must be reached before you are allowed to continue the course.
On the page the page Controls you need to specify that a certain control is a roganing control, by changing the Status to Rogaining and defning how many Rogaining points the control awards.
Hint
You can let the same (physical) control play different roles on different courses, by creating several controls with the same SI-code but with different status and/or rogaining ponits. Different courses can then refer to different representations of the same controls.

Minus points
I wanted to use minus points for some controls. But as I can see there is not possible to put minus points on controls. Could that be implemented?

Rogaining according to IRF rules
2016-06-01 16:13:07 av Guntars Mankus
Just wanted to ask about rogainging configuration in MeOS according to IRF (International Rogaining Federation) rules? The key feature probably missing at the moment is specific Team/Patrol setup (in single rogaining team there can be from 2 to 5 competitors and the number of competitors is not fixed neither per class neither per course. Also not sure if 24h time limit is supported in current MeOS version. According to IRF rules team placement in result list is a bit different - ”Competition placings are awarded in several sections based on the age and gender composition of teams. Each team is automatically entered in the Open section and all other sections of the competition for which it is eligible.” As the course is the same for everyone men seniors like M40 class can also qualify for men open/elite class (M21) and can be awarded twice.
