Performance Testing of MeOS 3.1
On April 6 2014 we made an comprehensive performance test of MeOS 3.1 with an individual competition of 15,000 competitors and 100 classes, and a relay with the same number of runners but only 10 classes.Server and Network Configuration
Server: Notebook with Intel i5 processor. Windows 7, 64-bits, 6 GB memory. Client: Nine notebooks, varying model, Windows XP, two MeOS clients on each computer. Network: 100 Mbit. (Server - Router 1Gbit). Standard router and switches.Load
The clients were configured to show result lists, be speaker clients or simulate card read out or radio times. The load was increased graduallity to about 10 radio times per second, and 10 card readouts per second.Result
- Server CPU: Less than 10% (Two of four cores rested).
- Memory usage (MySQL): Less than 700 Mb.
- Memory usage per MeOS client: About 70 Mb.
- Network (server): About 700 kbit/second.
