Using the Same Radio Control Several Times

Updated: 2012-10-31

If you want to let runners pass the same radio control more than once, and get distinct radio times in the Speaker Module, you need to use a small trick. Each passing must be registered at distinct controls, and this means that you have to add several controls with the same SI code.

Example:

Assume control 50 is the radio control, and that the competitors (in some class) will to pass it twice. Then you need to create two controls with punch code 50. You can give them id number 50 and 1050. Start by adjusting the course. If it originally was

31, ..., 49, 50, 55, ...,47, 50, 52, ..., 100

change it into

31, ..., 49, 50, 55, ...,47, 1050, 52, ..., 100

Then go to the page Controls, locate control 1050, and change the punch code to 50. You should also name control 50 Radio 1 and 1050 Radio 2.

In the Speaker Module, watch control 50 and 1050. Note that this trick is needed only when you want speaker support for the same (physical) control more than once; if the control is not a radio control, everything works without this modification.
